Wake Your Ask Up: Produced & Created by Tam Lawrence Dear Ambitious Viewing Audience, Hey there, I promise I’m not here to ruin your day well, maybe just a little but consider this your friendly neighborhood wake-up call. Social media has been strutting around in a shiny superhero cape, convincing us it’s here to save the day. But plot twist: that cape is actually a weighted blanket of distraction. Sure, people are making money online but let’s be real, it’s like winning the cosmic lottery.  

The top 0.01% are cashing in, while the rest of us are just endlessly scrolling, praying the algorithm gods bless us with a viral moment (spoiler alert: they usually don’t). 


What we thought was fueling our dreams is really siphoning off our energy, our focus, and maybe our ability to hold a conversation without checking our phones every 12 seconds. 


We were promised influence or at least the illusion of it but in the end, the tech giants are the only ones cashing out, and we’re left waiting for the next algorithm “gold rush” like miners with Wi-Fi.


So yeah, maybe this is your sign to blink twice, take a stretch, and remember: sometimes the smartest move is logging out before the feed swallows you whole.
